Well, the adventure continues! We made it to Seattle, and found the big REI, then went to Alaska!
| We let Kenny try out a snowboard at the REI. |
| After over 2 hours in REI, and the boys were still smiling! Amazing! |
| Poor Jordan, she had to sleep in 50* weather, and she isn't used to that, so we got her a sweater and jacket! |
| We went to "Snowflake Lane" the last night in Seattle. To this day, Kenny keeps asking about going back! It was a parade of drummers - right up his alley! |
| Moving out of Granny and Papas. |
| Seriously?! We had A TON of stuff! 7 bags, 2 carseats, and a dog were checked. Along with the stroller, kids, diaper bag, backpacks, camera bag....oye! |
| We made it to Alaska!! After we found a place to live, we still had a day to go have some fun. So we decided to drive south and see what we could find. This was the first thing we passed - people ice climbing on the side of the road! Crazy! |
| This was the view of pretty much the majority of our drive. Not bad! |
| And this is where we ended up - a wildlife conservation center. |
| Jason was upset he hadn't seen any wild animals since we arrived. This scratched the itch for a while. He was provoking this bull - it woulda charged him many times if there wasn't a fence in between! |
| As with most of our days out so far, we were very underdressed for this day. It was -16*! |
| But we at least got a few cute pictures! |
| Cameron turned 1 in the hotel. We tried to make it as special as we could. Kenny helped pick out his presents. Notice him playing with "Camerons" present in the background?! |
| Certainly not the moose cake he had a few weeks before, but still a 'mini' celebration. |
| The Beaty's were kind enough to have us over for dinner. I am not sure who had more fun with the nerf war, Jason and I, or the boys! I hadn't laughed that much in a while! Thanks Jess for letting us destroy your house! |
| Kenny has been talking about making a snow angel since we told him we were moving somewhere with snow. Took a while, but we got enough snow for him to finally do it. |
| We lived in our condo without furniture for a few days... that was a challenge.... |
| We originally got a cactus decoration, but it kept falling over. So we went with our second choice (or Kenny's 1st choice) |
| Kenny snow monster! |
| Someone has decided that he does not want baby food any more. He has been eating everything we eat.... including my peanut butter toast! |
| Dogsled ride! I think I wanted to do this more than anyone - and we were very underdressed once again, but it was worth the freeze! |
| Snuggle time with my man. |
| Merry Christmas! This picture took longer to set up than to take - amazing when you have cooperative kids! |
| Jason scoped out an AWESOME sledding hill. We tested it out today. The boys approved! |
| On our way home from the sledding hill, we spotted a bald eagle that was eating his lunch on the side of the road.... in front of our house!! When we got closer, he moved to the tree for a better picture. Awesome! |
